5 Years M.Sc. (IT) Programme

It provides an opportunity to develop key specialist skills for a career in Computer Applications & Information Technology.

The course has been specifically designed to suit the requirements of the IT industry, where individuals will be able to take up technical or management positions and can seek employment in many roles, including computer programmers, technical authors and research associates. 5 years M.Sc. (IT) is a course customized for those aspirants who are aiming to make a bright and outstanding career in the field of Information Technology

Objectives

The 5 years M.Sc. (IT) programme focuses on the following objectives:

 

To impart sound knowledge of the latest technologies used in Science, Technology and Management related to Information Systems and their applications in relevant fields.
 

To build a pool of technically qualified manpower that can easily become productive in the industry.
 

To cater the needs of industry and scientific organizations in global era in IT and its aligned areas.
 

To develop professionals and leaders of high caliber imbibed with values of entrepreneurship, ethics and social responsibility.

Programme Information

This integrated M.Sc. (IT) [Masters in Science (Information Technolgy)] Course is of FIVE years (10 Semesters) duration and a full time course.

  1. No. of Seats
    2.  As approved by academic council of the University.
  2. Allocation of seats to Reserved Categories
    3.  Allocation for SC, ST, SEBC etc. categories will be as per the rules of the University and State Government of Gujarat prevailing at the time of admissions.
  3. Fees
    4.  Approximately Rs. 35,000/- per semester in UG & Rs. 45,000/- per semester in PG.
  4. Class/Hours
    5.  Classes for the course and practical are conducted on all working days between 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must have passed the Gujarat Higher Secondary Education Board(GHSEB)/ Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) / Indian Council of Secondary Examination (ICSE) or its equivalent under the 10 + 2 pattern in General or Science stream with the following subjects:

    1. English and
    2. Any one of the following subjects:
