Faculty of Computer Applications and Information Technology, MSc (IT) programme organized one week workshop on Entrepreneurship and Communication Skills from 9th November to 16th November 2017. The workshop was organized for the final semester students as a part of their curriculum. The workshop conducted had two aims; First to nurture and imbibe the idea of Entrepreneurship in its students, so as to develop and support new and future entrepreneurs thereby striving towards building the capacity of technology entrepreneur. Second to prepare the students for their coming corporate lives. Everyday a two hour session each of Entrepreneurship and Communication Skills was conducted. Guest lectures on Entrepreneurship were organized for students which were delivered by eminent personalities. The first day of workshop was kick started by Dr. Harshal Arolkar, He explained the need of Entrepreneurship mindset to the students, The session was followed experience sharing by Mr. Krinal Mehta CEO, Squid Research Private Limited, showcased his journey and motivated the students to become entrepreneurs.
On day two Mr. Pratik Patel, CEO, Yudiz Solutions Private Limited, a young and dynamic entrepreneur addressed the students. A dynamic duo of Mr. Gaurav Sutaria and Mr. Taral Shah Directors, Techify Solutions addressed the students on day three, they emphasized on what is innovation and how the IT industry solves various problems.
The sessions concluded on a high note with enthralling session by dynamic entrepreneur Ms. Vaishali Vithalani, CEO Technixinfo. She motivated the students come out with simple solutions for complex problems. She also highlighted some issues the female entrepreneurs face in their career. In all the speakers shared their superlative journey as an entrepreneur, their ideas and their success talks, which motivated the students a lot. Ms. Niyati Sheth, Director, Angrezi Edge, conducted the Communication Skills workshop. The workshop covered various modules of Communication Skills like Non-verbal Communication, Verbal Communication, Listening Skills, Time Management, and Interpersonal Skills. The objective of the workshop was to equip our students with the appropriate knowledge of different aspects of communication relevant for their transition from campus culture to a strong professional personality. Our students found the learning to be quite pertinent for the changing needs of today’s corporate scenario. The training delivery was quite effective as it gave an interactive learning experience to all the students..

He explained how the Entrepreneurship ecosystem works in India. Mr. Mahendra Sharma was the speaker on day two, he is the Co Founder & CTO of MatruBharti Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and has more than 16 years of work experience in IT Industry, He showcased his journey and motivated the students to become entrepreneurs. On day three a father and son duo Mr. Vijay Shah and Mr. Raj Shah young and dynamic entrepreneur of COSMO ECOSYSTEM CARE LLP a dynamic organization that produces and sells high quality stevia products addressed the students. Mr. Ankit Machhar, Manager entrepreneurial ecosystem development activities at icreate gave insights of what is Next Gen Entrepreneurship to the students on day four. Mr. Ruchit Surati Co-Founder & CEO at Locanix which he co-founded in 2012 with an aim to become largest player in the Transportation IoT sector delivered a talk of Searching jobs vs. Creating Jobs. She motivated the students to think out of box and come out with simple solutions for complex problems.
